With
the advent of website images copyright is open to abuse and
whereas I know most people who visit this site are artists
themselves or working in creative industries and are respectful
of there own and other people's creative work it is worth
having a page like this to just clarify copyright law.
All
work remains the sole property of the person who created it
unless that person signs over ownership to someone else. Technically,
this means that even if a photographer takes headshots for
a client for them to be used on CV's, if that client reproduces
the image they are in breach of copyright. Of course, most
photographer's these days are sensible enough to realise that
most people will scan the one image and send copies with their
CV so a certain amount of common sense will prevail.
However,
in respect of images on the site and artistic images in general
any unauthorised saving or copying is prohibited. Each image
has an inbedded stamp and is slightly different to the images
actually printed as artwork, so any copies not made by me
will be different from the ones made by me. Intellectual property
cases are treated seriously in the courts, it can cost the
party's who breach copyright a whole load of trouble and money.
If you want to use an image for legitimate use then please
contact us, we are an easygoing bunch of people if treated
with respect and are happy to discuss things with people who
treat us with respect.
